- August 4, 2011 - Made the decision to adopt
- August 8-26, 2011 - Researched/spoke with agencies and decided on Generations Adoptions
- August 30, 2011 - Sent in application for initial acceptance
- September 6, 2011 - Application formally accepted by Generations Adoptions
- September 16, 2011 - Orientation with Generations Adoptions
- October 20, 2011 - Received our Uganda Adoption Packet (details about the process)
- October 29, 2011 - Adoption Yard Sale
- December 2, 2011 - 1st Home Study meeting
- January 30, 2012 - 2nd Home Study meeting - tour of the house
- March 2012 - Last Home Study meeting & Parent training completed
- April 2, 2012 - Received Home Study packet
- April 7, 2012 - Mailed our I -600A application & Home Study packet to USCIS
- April 21, 2012 - Received our Biometrics Fingerprinting appointment
- May 13, 2012 - Received our USCIS approval (on Mother's Day!)
- May 14, 2012 - Placed on waitlist - #17
- June 29, 2012 - Moved to #15
- July 12, 2012 - Moved to #14
- July 27, 2012 - Moved to #12
- September 24, 2012 - Moved to #11
Where We Are Currently:
- Child Referral (still 7 months - 1 year wait)
Next Step
- Send Dossier / Affidavit to Uganda upon acceptance of referral (2 weeks to 2 months)
- Court Date- Travel to Uganda to meet our child(ren) and for our "Gotcha Day " (stay in country 4 to 6 weeks)
- Bring BABY HOFFMAN(s) home!!!!
